GN has many successful experiences on solids control and waste management systems. Not only in the oil gas drilling area, GN solids control are widely used in HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) & CBM (Coal Bed Methane) area, Bored Pile and TBM (Tunnel Boring machine) areas etc.
As many regions and countries are having stricter and stricter demands for environmental protection, now in dredging slurry separation fields as well as some other areas, more and more solids equipments are being used.
Just several months ago, GN Solids Control has providing three sets of mud recycling system for COSL (China Oilfield Service Ltd, which is a giant oil company in China). These three mud systems are going to use on offshore rigs which are one thousand HP with one mud tank. Detailed equipments are as follows:
1. Six sets of shale shaker
By using GNZS 703E-HB, this system separate solids whose diameters larger than 100 microns. Each shale shaker’s treating capacity is 528 GPM. And now GN has various shaker screens can satisfy different working environment. Shaker screens are replaceable for world famous brands such as Derrick, NOV Brant, MI-SWACO etc.
2. Three sets of vacuum degasser
GNZCQ270A is self feeding equipment which is specially designed for removing gases from drilling mud. This equipment’s capacity is 1188 GPM.
3. Three sets of mud cleaner
GNZJ703E-2S12N is one cost-effective with two desander cyclones and twelve desilter cylones as well as one shale shaker. GN mud cleaner is one compact unit, the treating capacity can reach 240 m3/h.
4. Three sets of decanter centrifuge
GN decanter centrifuges are widely used in many areas and they are selling very well in many countries. Each year there is at least 150 centrifuges are sold. GNLW452 perform excellent function to separate solids diameter beyond 5 microns. GN centrifuges have much longer life due to the good quality materials they are using. As the key part, bowls are using SS 316L and screw propellers are using tungsten carbide tiles. GN also pays lots of attentions on some details, the discharge port of mud as well as the fluids distribution port are all using tungsten carbide alloy for protection.
