The Recycling system of Solids Control Equipment (I)
We have talked about GN mud recycling system for ZJ 70D rig, from the previous discussions, all the equipments including tanks have been acknowledged. Today we would like to share you some info about the recycling process of this whole mud system for ZJ 70D rig.
The drilling mud comes from well is transmitted to these two shale shakers simultaneously or separately. Mud is treated by the shaker at first; usually the solids diameter up to 100 microns can be separated. Then the treated mud is flowing to the sinking compartment.
In order to keep a healthy and stable environment of the drilling mud, it need to exhaust the inner gas in advance. By using vacuum degasser, the gas in mud can be eliminated. Then the mud is overflowed to desander compartment by overflow channel. Mud can be treated by desander cylones, whose mud is fed by a centrifugal pump. Next the mud is treated by desilter cylones, the solids can be separated to the diameter below 20 microns.
By the separation of shale shaker, desander and desilter, the mud is relatively clean, but it’s not enough when we want to use this mud for drilling. All these mud will be fed by submersible pumps to two decanter centrifuges. Usually the first one is medium speed, while the second one is high speed. This is because the first decanter centrifuge is used for separating the most solids in a large quantity, and the second decanter centrifuge is used for separating much finer solids. By using these two decanter centrifuges, the solids diameter can reach to 2 microns to 5 microns. This clean mud can be overflowed to purified compartment by overflow channel.
At the same time, the clean mud can be weighted for deep drilling usage. For this part, we will talk is next time. So if you have any questions about GN mud recycling system, welcome to call us directly or just email us at [email protected].
